I was born and raised in New York. From a young age, I knew I wanted a career in the medical field, so I pursued a degree in Nursing at SUNY Plattsburgh. After graduation I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do, and, much to my parent’s dismay, I took a Summer job lifeguarding.
It wasn’t long after that I realized Pediatrics was my area of interest. So, I applied to work on a Pediatric floor at a major trauma center in Albany. It was a wonderful experience, and I loved all the children, but it was time for a new challenge. I tried the management route, but it took me away from patient care. That’s when I decided to go back to school and pursue my master’s. I moved to Atlanta and enrolled in Emory University’s PNP Program.
After I graduated from Emory, I decided to move to Texas to work as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in Oncology. The patients and families taught me so much. During my time, I furthered my studies and became a Surgical First Assist working with Orthopedic Oncology Surgeons.
Since then, I have continued to grow and increase my knowledge. My goal is to continue to provide the best, most comprehensive care to my patients at Shine.
When not in the office, I can be found working out in the gym, on the trails, or in barre class. I am a Certified Personal Trainer and have participated in several marathons and triathlons. My favorite marathon was in Honolulu, HI. It was gorgeous.
I love to live the life of health and wellness.
